As the young boy learns to make bread with Nana, she tells them about her own Nana and what it was like for her to bake the bread before electricity.
An homage to family traditions, with a nod to the pandemic, too. If you bake bread with your students, I would buy this. Or it is a sweet way to talk about how life was different before wide-spread electricity and modern grocery stores. Nans’s bread recipe is included.
