Whale lives near a tiny island inhabited by Rocks and two trees. She has named the rocks and has tea parties with them, but when a bird arrives to explore the island, and a surfing snail also finds their way there, Whale might get some real friends after all. 

I didn't like the story - found it too silly, the perspectives were all wrong, the square whale, the underwater kitchen, a surfing snail? It was all too strange - it's not the snail's fault a wave hit the island. Going to pass on a recommendation for this one.
