The Pill Bug doesn't need anybody, he likes it that way. He rolls alone, and swings alone, and uses the see-saw alone. But each activity has a unique problem, and Pill Bug realizes that a friend makes a big difference.
This Pre-Level One early reader is great! The illustrations are funny - I love Pill Bug's faces, and the little pink pill bug . . . so cute. My 6yo grand daughter is just starting to read and hasn't tried a book on her own yet - I think this one will be perfect. Can't wait to give it to her.

P.S. She loved it - read it all on her own then found other people to read it to. Her confidence at being an independent reader soared! She even compared Pill Bug to my cat who needs friends but won't admit it.
