BUYING ADVISORY: EL- OPTIONAL
AUDIENCE APPEAL: LOW
What wouldn't a mother do for her child? What wouldn't she do to conceive a child? She would certainly "swim through the deepest ocean" or "climb the tallest tree". The end result of many attempts at fertility hopefully results in the statement, "Finding you was a journey. And meeting you was my greatest joy."
To the Moon and Back for You is a beautifully and carefully written story of one mother's struggle to conceive. The author's personal note at the end of the book shares deep experiences and emotions that many couples can relate to. Although it might be appropriate as a gift I don't see any application to the classroom of little children. Infertility is a topic that should be discussed in individual homes or when students are learning about the reproductive system. I highly recommend this book as a gift or in individual homes, just not in a school library.
