Farming goes through all four seasons of what life is like on a farm. Farming talks about all the chores and things there are to do on the farm during that period of time. After it goes over all the seasons on the farm, Farming discusses all the different types of farming, like dairy, fruit, vegetable, ranch, etc. It also talks about the benefits of farms, buying locally, GMO’s, heirlooms, etc.
Farming is a great way to explain farming to small children. Farming would be an excellent classroom aid to be read prior to a field trip or farming unit in class. It is very thorough without being overwhelming. If a child wanted to write a report on farming, this picture book would be an excellent aid for them to accomplish that.
