BUYING ADVISORY: Pre-K, EL (K-3) - ADVISABLE

AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE

School of Fish is about a fish school, and the fish children are excited to compete as a team in a race. They end up not winning, but are still excited because they received silver medals.

School of Fish is written with very simple, large text that is excellent for early readers. The pictures are very captivating and grab the attention of children from toddler ages, up through third grade. I think it is a great way to encourage children to be excited about learning to read. It has excellent rhythm. Although the team did not win, the fish children are still very happy about it. They look at the positive side of the situation and are shown with very excited faces with their medals.
