Rainbow Rangers: Meet the Team introduces the characters in the show, Rainbow Rangers. The Rainbow Rangers are girls that have super powers and help animals in need all over the world. Each girl has a different but special super power that will help the team on their mission. Their leader, Kalia, debriefs the girls before each mission, and then chooses 3 of the girls to help with the mission. Those chosen are the Rangers who Kalia thinks will be best for that job.
Rainbow Rangers: Meet the Team has no plot or story per se. The main purpose of this title is to introduce children to the rest of the series. It is extremely vibrant and colorful. My 5-year-old daughter saw this book in my book pile, and was instantly drawn to it. She has begged to watch the TV series since I read it to her, and she now sleeps with this book at night. Even though this book is educationally pointless, it has an extremely high audience appeal for its targeted age group. Rainbow Rangers: Meet the Team seems to have already succeeded in its purpose as an advertisement for the television show. The television show teach children to think about their actions and how those actions affect animals and the earth. While it isn’t a show I myself choose to watch (it is very cheesy), I allow my child to watch it without being too worried.
