AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE
For years the mountain people kept to themselves and the valley people never came up the mountain. They often bickered and fought over the water that flowed through the valley. After a torrential downpour, the valley people were left in need of help. Will the mountain people come to their rescue and learn that peace is better than fighting?
The theme of the book was very sweet. It showed that if you work together, despite your differences, peace and harmony can benefit everyone. The illustrations were cute and the plot kept my five year old daughter engaged. The characters are not specific ethnicities, however, they appear to be of Asian descent.
