One day, a girl's parents tell her and her little sisters that they are going on a trip. The family travels to Vancouver Island and learns that with a crew, they are going to help plant one million baby trees! There are obstacles like narrow roads, logging trucks, learning French words, and hard work, and the main character has to learn how to help and work hard.

Based on the author's lived experience. I liked the main text of this book. I thought the extra speech bubbles and notes were sometimes too much. The illustrations were too cluttered for me, but they may be visually stimulating for some readers. I think this book would work well as a teaching tool for reading groups or a science curriculum. The main character is likely mixed race.
