From the time they were young, Otto and his little brother Gustav watched birds and worked to create their own flying machine. As they grew, they worked in their free time. As Men they realize that gliding is better than flapping, but it still takes until their 40’s that they have a working glider – the glider that later inspires the Wright Brothers.

What an interesting story – it was great to read about one the intrepid inventors that pre-dated the Wright Brothers Beautiful illustrations breathe life into the text.
