BUYING ADVISORY: Pre-K, EL (K-3) – ADVISABLE
AUDIENCE APPEAL: HIGH
Whitehall and Jackson wrote a gentle and welcoming introduction to the global issue of migration and the many reasons why people move to different places. They give readers lots of concrete ways to be good neighbors to those around them, even if they are different from them.
I picked up this book because I liked the multicultural and inclusive cover and I had high hopes for the story. It’s a great way to introduce the concept of migration to littles and serves as an easy entry to a lot of current events and issues.
