A Fall For Friendship by Megan Atwood - ADVISABLE

A Fall For Friendship (Orchard #4) by Megan Atwood, 226 pages. Aladdin (Simon & Schuster), 2018. $13.

Language: G; Mature Content: G; Violence: G.

BUYING ADVISORY: EL(K-3) – ADVISABLE

AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE

Two adopted siblings with two dads and their two friends are excited to be helping with the zombie hayride and haunted barn party. The only problem is Olive. She doesn’t believe in ghosts or zombies, and thinks it’s nonsensel to even entertain the idea that they might exist. When her friend’s older sister tells a story about a ghost girl who still roams the barn, Olive’s logical brain kicks into overdrive, annoying her friends. They finally agree that proof and a little pranking is needed.

This is the “Fall” book from a 4-book season series. The cover is super cute. Kids love holidays, especially Halloween, so this one should go over well. The author does a good job covering both sides of the ghost debate. Based on this one, I would buy all four season books in the series.
