This is the story of her childhood, early gymnastics years, Olympic successes, and place on the national stage.
I appreciated how the author approached difficult subjects such as addiction, abuse, and the USA Gymnastics scandal in a simple straightforward manner appropriate for the target audience. The book is well-written, readable, and interesting. It is also full of stories of how Simone encountered difficult situations and made it through them with persistence and courage.
