When animals or plants form mutually beneficial relationships, it's called symbiosis. When the Nile Crocodile needs its teeth cleaned, the Egyptian plover helps out and gets a meal for itself. The moss growing on a sloth gets a safe home, plus it's a delicious meal for the sloth, bees spread pollen as they gather nectar from the flowers, and ants protect the acacia tree from grasshoppers.
Each relationship is introduced with a short verse, then a more "scientific" description follows. I loved that it contains how plants and animals helps each other, too. The illustrations are great, and there is an awesome statement about our responsibility to the environment.
