BUYING ADVISORY: EL (K-3) - OPTIONAL
AUDIENCE APPEAL: LOW
If you meet a skeleton, you shouldn’t be afraid. While they may seem scary, they have many good qualities.
Evans tries really hard to convince us that there is nothing to be afraid of if you meet a moving skeleton. Unfortunately, the book lacks that essential charm that would convince the reader to buy the premise. The surprise twist at the end doesn’t come off as funny or scary. I would try other Halloween books first.
