Quokka is NOT happy - but unfortunately, no one can tell, because their face is a perpetual smile. Grumpy face? Smile. Sad face? Smile. Can no one understand that even the world’s happiest marsupial can have an off day?
You can’t help but smile when you see a quokka - or this book. A quick Google shows 100’s of photos of smiling quokkas. And if you can get down to Australia, you too could take a selfie with one. Besides the cutest of the animal, however, I’m not sure what to do with this. Students will read it once, but I don’t think they will read it twice.
