AUDIENCE APPEAL: SOME
Mr. Rabbit is used to being alone, but he is getting a little lonely. As spring approaches, he plants a new field of carrot seeds, only to have one seed grow up to something unexpected! What is Mr. Rabbit going to do with a carrot that walks and talks?
What an odd little book! I do think the overall message of finding friendship in unexpected places is a good one, however, the story is a little silly. I would have liked to see Mr. Rabbit make friends other than ones he grew himself, and see him become a part of the community, instead of isolated like he was throughout the whole book.
