All of his friends are busy, so Bear feels a little lonely and sad. He tries to find something to do and feels a little better when he picks special flowers for each of his friends.
My summary sounds pretty bland, but I really like how Wilson weaves in the idea that doing something for someone else can always help us forget our own problems. Chapman’s illustrations are full of the vivid colors of spring. You don’t have to buy every Bear book to understand each of them.
