Mama and Papa Bear have been waiting a long time for a special delivery. When it finally arrives, the delivery is as anticipated, but they know the fish is theirs. The small family sets off to find a place to be family together. While the other forest animals are mystified at first, they realize how much they miss the Bears and go off in search of them.
I love the moody feel of Scuderi’s illustrations, very shady forest-like. Zanotti lays out what needs to be known for the story without over-explaining or being obvious about the purpose of the tale. The back matter is nice without being a must read part of the book.
