The little boy loves seeing Levar, the kind man who shares his love for books and his adventures with the boy through the tv. Then wouldn’t you know - one day at the drug store - there is Levar! Mom snaps a picture of the two together and he shares the photo with his class - discovering that many of his classmates know and love Levar too.
While this is a lovely celebration for children (now adults) who grew up watching Reading Rainbow, I don’t see why kids who don’t know Reading Rainbow and don’t know Levar Burton as the host would be interested in learning about him. Maybe if their teacher shows a Reading Rainbow episode in class each day, or at least once a week?
