Alice was tired of winter, and told her mother that she wished she were someplace that wasn't so frozen and grey. Then she noticed an open book showing a picture of birds in a jungle. The birds spoke to Alice and told her to step inside the book and come to their home. So Alice did and was happy for a while, but then the rains came. She wished she were somewhere dry. The camels on the next page invited Alice into their home, but soon she was too hot. Will Alice ever find the perfect home?
Once Upon a Book is a delightful read. I enjoyed Alice's imaginative journey which felt gently interactive. The illustrations are colorful, detailed, and engaging.
