Anyone can operate a crane! Especially Jane! Told with rhyming words and onomatopoeias, this is a short story about Jane who operates a crane. For her job, she helps move freighters, load cargo onto ships, and even cement trucks. She doesn't even let bad weather get in her way, especially with her bird friends to help her.
I liked this book because the pictures went well with the text. The text will draw young readers in with the end rhyme and funny sound effects. It is nice to see pictures books with female protagonists in a male dominated field. Jane, the main character, has darker colored skin and dark hair. There is no specific mention alluding to a specific ethnicity.
