Bugs--be they true bugs, insects, or other creatures disguising themselves a bugs--live all around us. In this beautifully illustrated picture book, readers are offered a broad introduction to the world of bugs. Topics covered include metamorphosis, what makes something an insect, what is a True bug, and even how bugs exist as the seasons change. There is a helpful glossary and index included at the back.
We are big bug fans at my house, and this book is a winner in all the best ways. The information shared in the book is accurate but not so detailed that its out of place in a picture book. Rather than going in-depth, this book is definitely an introductory look at the world of bugs with really wonderful illustrations throughout. This is surely a book that should be in every school library.
