Allman and Dean take us through an ABC of interesting, important ballet terms and people.
Younger dancers will need you to read this to them – older dancers will enjoy the wide-ranging look at parts of ballet. The models for the illustrations are artists and ballets performed by the American Ballet Theater – both past and present – each labelled for identification. The rhyming text is thoughtful and flows well for a read aloud. And the multicultural cast of characters is inspiring – I just I could figure out who in on the cover! Does anyone know?
