A rabbit, a mouse, and a turtle are trying to hurry home and decide to take a shortcut through the creek even though they have been warned of crocodiles. With lots of speech bubbles, the animals try to describe a crocodile and all the while the illustrations are hinting that they are walking on top of one.
The illustrations are very cheery and engaging to look at, which is important given that they are a clue to the humor of the story. The only stumbling block for me was that there was dialogue in the plain text as well as lots of dialogue in speech bubbles, making it a bit cumbersome. There is a fun humor punch on the last page which was a delightful way to end the tale.
