AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE
A young girl is excited because someone is on their way to her and after breakfast and getting ready she gets to take a snow plow through the roads and into town. At the train station she gives a woman a hug and returns home in the snow plow.
This book left me mostly confused. It felt like a book about helping her dad in the snow plow, but it was all framed by the mystery of picking up someone from town. There was not a lot of text to clarify things and in the end I’m not clear on whether it was her mom who was returning home or someone else. I did think it was cute how the illustrator kept putting the girl’s booster seat in picture, making it very clear she was safe.
