Meg, Will, and Ariel are spending a week with their aunt in the north of England while their parents are in London at a conference. While just being in the country is exciting, the stories of ghosts in the town and the castle close-by are even more interesting. As the older two chase down the castle ghost, little Ariel is in danger, because the closer ghost has more dire plans for
her.
Wow! At first I thought this was going to be a cute ghost story, but instead Shumaker ramps up the tension and the danger, rivaling Mary Downing Hahn and Betty Ren Wright. Will there be more ghost stories to come?
