Emilia loves the lost kitten she and her papa found, but Papa isn’t sure they can keep him. Together, they go to all the neighbors asking if the kitten is theirs. When they find a boy looking for his lost kitten, Emilia isn’t sure she can give up the kitten.
This is a delightful story, not only for the cute story about the love of a kitten but also for the relationships between the people. I love seeing Emilia’s relationship with her father, her father’s relationship with his wife, and their relationships with their neighbors. Community and connection with both the people and animals around us uplift our spirits.
