AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE

The narrator speaks encouraging words, presumably to the reader. While things were difficult and hard, the narrator expresses pride that the obstacles were surmounted. The illustrations are a mix of what appears to be photography and paint. They have a very layered feel to them. 

This book is cheery and sends out lots of positive vibes to the reader. Some of the illustrations are absolutely charming while others are a bit cheesy. The dreamlike feel of the illustrations make it feel more appropriate for young readers or as a bedtime story.
