Squirrel is trying to be calm about it, but he is distraught because someone seems to have stolen his giant lollipop! He is trying really hard not to accuse the other forest animals, but his emotions are about to run away with him. Meanwhile, the other animals are trying to tell him where the lollipop really is.
Cenko has given us a lot to unpack, if you are so inclined, with our students. Squirrels various tantrums, his unwillingness to listen to the others, for example. A great way to talk about making accusations, about how tantrums don’t do what you think they do - maybe teach them these skills before an incident happens in your classroom. I would have rated this ESSENTIAL, but the illustrations are uninspiring.
