Chez Bob is back, but is jealous, because the birds also like Ryan, who is making and delivering pizza in the forest. In his hurt, Bob lashes out anonymously on the internet, giving Ryan bad reviews. At first Bob is proud of his actions, but when the birds get mad, Bob realizes that what he did was awful.
Shea’s new book about Bob is more complicated than the first, but it delivers a very timely message about being careful what you post on the “internest”. I don’t know how much access elementary students have to social media and reviewing platforms - I can see this being most effective in a middle school - if you have a technology teacher who is willing to read picture books aloud. But about elementary students - it is never too early to talk about being kind in anonymous spaces too.
