Ava and her parents are a family of explorers who are sent on an adventure to find the mysterious ghost orchid that flowers only once a year. Her parent's are focused only on finding the flower, while Fiona finds the magic in the journey being observant and taking pictures along the way. Finally they arrive at the location of the ghost orchid. It is withered and gone. Ava notices things her parents don't. As they relax and look around, Ava sees something exciting.
Ghost Orchid is an interesting way to help kids learn to enjoy the wonders around them. There is only a small amount of information about the ghost orchid itself. The illustrations are colorful and lively with entertaining perspectives.
