BUYING ADVISORY: EL -ADVISABLE
AUDIENCE APPEAL: LOW
Animals of all sorts and sizes are portrayed as interacting with each other in ways that demonstrate how, even though they are different, they are still equal.
Every page begins with the words “We are equal,” followed by examples of how the animals are different. The notion of how each characteristic is of value is implied, but never developed, even in the illustrations. The rhymes are often as forced as the message.
