The name, dinosaur, means "terrible lizard. Dinosaurs are not lizards, but reptiles. Infant dinosaurs were big babies. Although scientist do not know exactly how big dinosaur babies were, they can make a good guess by studying the fossils they do have. You can compare the size of the baby dinosaurs to a 4 foot human child, which is taller than all of them.
Children will love the illustrations of the ten baby dinosaurs. They are adorable! In addition, the author connected each dinosaur's characteristics to something a child would know such as a seismosaurus being like an earth mover- excavator. While the illustrations will catch the eye and the information is correct, the book would have been better written in poetry to match the playfulness of the illustrations.
