Davy, the rabbit, wanted to take his grandparents some delicious carrot cake his mother had just made. Davy felt confident he could find his way to their home through the winter snows. Mia, his little sister came along. When they arrived, the group enjoyed the cake while Grandpa shared a story. Davy still felt confident he could find their way home again. But, a winter storm came up and the terrain looked different. Davy had been taught that if he was lost to just stay in one spot and wait for help. So, Mia and he found some cover and waited.
This sweet story shows how children can be safe if lost. The cute illustrations add to the reading enjoyment. Davy is a loveable character. An awkward translation jolts the reading on the first page.
