Liesel is a young girl living in a large city. In her room is a large clock which can stop time. She stops time to help people and animals in the city. She helps to add color and happiness to the city.
I really enjoyed this book! My favorite part was the text. The words are so beautiful and meaningful. It sounds like poetry and would be fun to discuss with a class. It teaches to look for ways to help others. The illustrations are simple but intriguing. This is actually the 2nd book by this author and illustrator. The first book is called The Night Box. The main character is presumably white.
