BUYING ADVISORY: Pre-K - OPTIONAL
AUDIENCE APPEAL: LOW
A black child and a parent figure wander through a wintery night, enjoying the sounds, sights, smells, and wonder of the season.
Myers illustrations are sweet and eye-catching, but the text drags on forever - much too long to hold anyone’s attention. The text uses the original rhythm, but when it stumbles, it crashes hard. While I am happy to look at the pictures, I would not want to read this aloud - especially cold.
