Each day mother penguin takes her five little penguins out to play. But each day one fewer penguin comes home. Where could they all be? Will they arrive home in time for Christmas day?
The flaps are thick paper, easy to crinkle, so I wouldn’t let the littlest ones handle this on their own. But for adorable penguin illustrations, I would take the risk for a winter picture book collection.
