"Give This Book Away" is meant to be a concrete experience with the joy of giving. There is no storyline to follow. Instead, this book is a lesson about the fears and joys associated with giving of ourselves to others. The ultimate goal is to actually give this book away to someone.
I liked that this book is meant to teach young children about giving. Sometimes, giving a gift can be scary, and this book is honest about how we all feel about being vulnerable when we reach out to connect with others. I think young children will be thrilled about the chance to give a book to someone. The characters have a wide range of skin colors, age, and situations.
