You might think from the title that the author and illustrator will introduce us to many solitary animals – not so! Instead, Stein and Ramsey gives us a wonderful look at collective nouns for animals that roam in groups AND a few animals that prefer solitude. My favorite is the sloth – I can’t tell you why, but as soon as you read it, you’ll understand. Vibrant illustrations and the perfect amount of text make an engaging whole.
