All the things you ever wanted to know about the history and science of trains, and then some more.
This hefty picture book dives into the development of trains, the technology, people, and places connected to locomotion. It was a fascinating trip down the train track, but it is such a niche topic, I don’t know how much traction it would have in a school library. But if your teachers do an Industrial Revolution or an inventions unit, it could be a nice addition.
