Breezy Valley firefighters prepare daily to answer an emergency. Piggy is the chief. When the alarm sounds, each firefighter has a job to do and they have special equipment and vehicles that they use to get the job done. Firefighters put out house and brush fires. Firefighters need to clean up and relax after an emergency.
Alley uses a creative way to teach children the technicalities of being a firefighter. He employs adorable animals to be the firefighters. He creates a town, with detailed maps and personalities. In addition, Alley uses some "hidden objects" throughout the story and invites that they be found when reaching the end of the story. A fun book for youngsters.
