BUYING ADVISORY: EL (K-3) - ESSENTIAL
AUDIENCE APPEAL: HIGH
Each letter is segregated inside their own walled town and have remained that way for a very long time. After an “h” and an “i” see each other through a hole, they and the other small letters try many different ways to be together.
What a cute, clever book! It can be a surface story about letters learning to spell words, but it is also a deeper metaphor for breaking down walls of all kinds.
