A yellow school bus happily took students from one place to another. Then it was refitted to take elderly people, and happily took them to the library and all over, and they painted her. She was even happy eventually scrapped under a bridge where homeless people sheltered. And when she's moved to a farmer's field, she finds joy there too.
Loren Long's beautiful story of the life of a bus is not to be missed. AJ loved seeing all the different communities who found joy in the bus. Long's illustrations, mostly in greys and browns are gorgeous - with the yellow bus a delightful focal point on the maps. Oh, I adored the Yellow Bus!
