On his way home on the New York subway, Danny spots a newborn baby in a corner of the station. First he calls the police, then he calls his partner Peter who rushes down. When the couple are assured that baby is in safe hands, they return home, but, Danny can't stop thinking about him. He visits the hospital and is turned away because he isn't family. But, when a judge reaches out to invite Peter and Danny to adopt the baby, they realize that this is the best news ever! "Where there is love, anything is possible."

Recounted by Peter (one of the fathers) in a story to the now grown baby, this "where did I come from" story is heartfelt and sweet. I loved the photos and the author's note at the end. The illustrations are expressive and lovely.
