Lilly Bounds entered the Disney Cartoon Studio soon after it opened in the 1920’s. Just a year later Lilly and Walt are married. Never one to seek the spotlight, Lilly was always there to support and guide Walt as his company grew. She was even there on the train ride that birthed Mickey Mouse, Lilly being the one who named him. It wasn’t until Walt passed before the opening of Walt Disney’s World that Lillian had to step up and become better known.
A longer picture book biography. Students who love learning about everything Disney may also enjoy learning about Disney’s wife.
