This is the story of Blacks in Africa before the slave ships came. They had beautiful buildings, beautiful and fascinating cultures, and they had great societies. 

The book is written in beautiful, flowing verse - a great read-a-loud book for children. The illustrations are amazing. Such a beautiful book and a beautiful story. Very elegant!
