BUYING ADVISORY: EL (K-3), EL - ESSENTIAL
AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE
In the rubble of the Twin Towers, a lone pear tree survived. For a decade it rested and regrew at a nearby plant nursery. When it was replanted at the new memorial site, it became a symbol of hope for people around the world.
I have read one other book about this tree – I can sincerely say this is a much better, a much more accessible book - both visually and textually. An important addition to a 9/11 collection.
