Max Meow is back. In this second book, Mindy is gaining some super powers of her own, but is hesitant to use them unless she is perfect at it. Super evil villains want to corner the donut market. Max and Mindy are on ready to save the day, but their heroics are complicated by Max and Mindy look-alikes from another dimension.
Super colorful, the art is definitely a plus. There are many references to entertainers and music that will probably not be recognized by the target audience. The plot is convoluted but predictable. This is a viable option to the Dog Man books.
