Lila is visiting Abuelo Carlos. The visit isn't the same without Abuela Ana, and they both miss her. To help remember her grandma, Abuelo Carlos helps Lila recreate Abuela Ana's famous sancocho soup. They go to the market to get the ingredients and struggle to make out Abuela's handwriting on the recipe.
This is a sweet book about losing a loved one. Most of the Spanish words in the text are understandable from context. The back includes a recipe for sancocho.
